number 1 pool stop this summer was in St Laurent Du Var .. a couple
of stops West of Nice by train down on the pedestrianised sea front
you will find an array of restaurants and beach bars.
Prominently
located in front of the Holiday Inn is their private sandy beach with
sea front swimming pools at the beach bar. Enjoy the feel of white sand
between your toes and cool off in one of the 3 swimming pools or of
course in the sea.
None
of the pools are large enough for energetic lengths but if its cooling
off you want then you're in the right place. The shallowest pool was just
right for our toddler of 18 months though we kept her in arm bands anyway
and for an extra couple of Euros you could borrow from a "library"
of inflatable toys which provided hours of variety and amusement. You
can also hire towels onsite meaning that as an already overloaded parent
you can travel light!
The
shaded snack restaurant had some great value salads, portions were big.
4 adults and 2 children paid 63 Euros including soft drinks for a main
course and pudding.
Lunch
over and there are various water sports located off the jetty for teenagers
and adventurous parents alike and a toddler play area with toy cabins
and a slide beside the snack bar provide extra entertainment.
